Renewing your membership BEFORE it expires
Each year, when you renew your ASLIA membership, you need to log-in and complete the online form. This is important because it means that the membership database will generate a receipt for you. ASLIA’s membership year is in line with the financial year which is from 1 July to 30 June. This page will take you through the steps that you need to undertake to renew your membership before it expires on 30 June.
To renew your membership, first you need to log-in. Have you forgotten how? Click here
Or you remember how, but have forgotten either your user name or password. Click here If you cannot remember your user name, please DO NOT simply create a new user name.
On this page, there are several steps. If you wish to jump to a particular step, click on the options below:

Renewing your Membership
After you have logged-in to the ASLIA website you will see this:

Click on “View my Details”
You will next see this on your screen:

Select the second tab that says “Membership” and you will see this:

Click on the bottom, grey box that says “Renew now: 30 June 2012 … etc.”
Next you will see the screen below. You need to click on the “Continue” button. Your membership renewal will not be registered by the database if you do not click Continue.

Finalising your Renewal
After you click Continue, you will see this screen:

Next steps, payment ...
IT IS IMPORTANT that if you plan to pay by direct bank transfer, you need to print this page or write down ASLIA’s account details before you go to the next step.
You now click on the box at the bottom of the page that has the red border and says “Click here to confirm that you are paying offline and to display the payment slip to print”. You will see this message: (click OK)

NOTE: You must have your computer set to allow pop-ups in order to see the next screen. If you do not have pop-ups, you will briefly see an image similar to this:

If you do have pop-ups, the next screen will be similar to this:

You can print this payment slip or simply copy the Payment Slip Number in the top left corner. This information is important, so make sure you print it or make a note of the number. However, if your computer doesn’t allow pop-ups, you will not see the above screen and you will not have the Payment Slip Number. You can still make your membership payment without this number BUT BE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR NAME ON THE BANK TRANSFER REFERENCE.
You now have to manually pay for your membership fees. You can do this by:
-
doing a direct deposit bank transfer from your bank to ASLIA’s
OR
-
sending a cheque or money order to ASLIA
If you are paying by direct deposit, you MUST make sure that you include your NAME and the PAYMENT SLIP No. on the bank transfer information otherwise we cannot trace the payment to you!
If you are paying by cheque or money order, have this made out to ASLIA and post it to PO Box 1060, PARRAMATTA, NSW 2124
This is the final step in the membership renewal process. ASLIA will confirm when your payment has been received and your membership activated.
Why does it still say that I need to renew when I’ve already done it?
Your membership then needs to be manually activated on the website database by ASLIA. Please note this could take a few days to a week – it does not happen automatically as we need to cross-check that we have received your payment.
If you log back in to ASLIA in you will see the same screen asking you to renew your membership even if you have paid. It will be this way until ASLIA has processed your payment.
How you will know when your membership renewal has been processed
After your payment has been processed and your membership activated, you will receive an automated email that looks like this:

After your membership has been activated, you will no longer see the reactivate membership screen when you log-in and you will have access to the member’s area of the site and are a fully paid-up member!
