The 4th ASLIA National Interpreter Trainers' Workshop (ITW) in Darwin, Australia on 5 September 2008 offers signed language interpreter educators and trainers another annual opportunity to come together with a view to sharing information, expertise and resources amongst national and international peers.

Congratulations to our President Jemina and her husband Andy on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Tilda!

As Jemina is on leave of absence, Marcel Leneham is Acting President whilst she is busily being Mum.

We wish both Jemina and Andy big hugs and kisses.

ASLIA National & Deaf Australia recently held a most successful Interpreting Forum on February 15th in Sydney. Over 80 people attended the event, and these included ASLIA members, interpreters, deaf consumers, Deaf Australia members, government representatives and other interested parties.
