ASLIA National Interpreter of the Year Award PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 30 August 2007
Please find below information regarding the three finalists for the
ASLIA National Interpreter of the Year award - feel free to download and circulate.
We would like to sincerely commend all finalists on their significant
achievement in winning the state level overall award of Interpreter of
the Year - we pay tribute to the acclaim they have clearly earned in
their home state. We also congratulate all nominees and category winners
in the various states. We understand state branches have publicised
local award category winners already, so well done to ALL nominees
and category winners - you are to be applauded!

Sincere thanks also to the ASLIA branches who were able to participate
in organising award ceremonies this year - New South Wales, Victoria and
Western Australia. The efforts of organising committees, judging panels
and ASLIA branches in these states has been significant, and must be
acknowledged with gratitude.

We hope you will join us at the gala dinner in Sydney at Macquarie
University on Saturday 8 September 2007 from 7pm, where the national
award winner, selected from the three attached finalists, will be
announced. The dinner is part of the ASLIA National Conference event and
will also feature the ASLIA National JW Flynn Oration; a performance by
the Australian Theatre of the Deaf; and a "SignQuest" cabaret evening,
as well as the announcement of the national award winner. Tickets may be
purchased separately for the dinner event only at $80 per person by
contacting ASLIA (NSW) on This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it as soon as possible.
Please note, places at the gala dinner are limited.

Kind regards, Karen.
