At the AAD conference in Adelaide in November 2006, there were many presentations about interpreting - it was a major topic of discussion at the conference, and many issues and problems were raised. So AAD and ASLIA proposed that we organise a joint forum specially on interpreting. The Forum will discuss issues and possible solutions on the following topics:
-
Supply and Demand of Interpreters,
-
Quality of Interpreting Service, and
-
Work conditions for Interpreters.
