ASLIA Confidentiality Policy & Deed

Introduction
The ASLIA Community comprises general members, members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council.

In carrying out official duties and in the course or his or her dealings with ASLIA., members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council within the ASLIA Community will be privy to sensitive and confidential "Information"; meaning information, documents and data.

It is therefore expected that members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council within the ASLIA Community, have a responsibility to abide by the Confidentiality Policy.

It is the policy of Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC that all National Executive and National Representative Council Members shall complete a Deed of Confidentiality as a part of the Member's Agreement with the Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC.

The Principles of the Policy are:

  1. INTERPRETATION

  2. NON DISCLOSURE

  3. RESTRICTION ON USE

  4. SURVIVAL

  5. POWERS OF ASLIA INC

  6. APPLICABLE LAW

  7. BREACH OF DEED OF CONFIDENTIALITY
