ASLIA Conflict of Interest Policy & Declaration


Introduction


The ASLIA Community comprises general members, members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council.


In carrying out official duties and in the course or his or her dealings with ASLIA, members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council within the ASLIA Community have a duty to declare any conflict of interest, any potential conflict or apparent conflict which may arise during any period as a member of the National Executive or National Representative Council.


It is therefore expected that members of the Executive Committee and National Representative Council within the ASLIA Community, have a responsibility to abide by the Conflict of Interest Policy.


It is the policy of Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC that all National Executive and National Representative Council Members shall complete a Conflict Of Interest declaration regarding any interest, personal bias or obligation and allegiance in the role as an Executive or Representative Council Member and as an Employee, Service, Company or a Product related to membership of the Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC as a part of the Member's Agreement with the Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC.


Further, any portion of the following information can be shared with the membership and/or National Executive and National Representative Council Meeting attendees to gain perspective of the conduct of Executive Members at any Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association INC Meetings.
