Information/FAQ

ANC2021 will be both interpreted and captioned.

We will be working with the team at GEMS Event Management Australia and their platform OnAir by EventsAir.

OnAIR is a cloud-based, virtual conference solution, so there is nothing to download! For the best viewing experience, we recommend using a supported internet browser, Google Chrome (preferred), Firefox or Edge Chromium.

Your personalised login details will be sent to you to access the platform in the week prior to the Conference. Registered delegates will also receive a series of communication in the lead up to the Conference with further information and instructions about the platform.

  • A computer or laptop. (Note: whilst the platform does work on a tablet or mobile phone, we do not recommend these technologies for participation).
  • A stable internet connection. We suggest closing any unused browsers/programs that could be draining on your internet bandwidth. Ideal is a minimum of 5Mbps for both upload and download. Check your internet speed at https://www.speedtest.net/
  • Webcam, audio and mic. Whilst a webcam is not mandatory for participants, it can be used to participate in the networking sessions, meeting hub and exhibitor meetings for video calls. The conference languages are English and Auslan. Interpreters will be provided in these two languages for all conference sessions. If using audio and mic, we recommend a headset.

No, each registered attendee will receive a link to the virtual portal that is uniquely tied to their registration and cannot be opened on multiple devices at the same time.

No, delegates cannot register to attend a single session or a half-day session. The minimum registration duration is a single day registration.

The Conference dates are Friday, 10th September to Sunday, 12th September 2021. Our website program and communication are static and will display in Sydney time, Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC/GMT +10 hours).

Once logged into the OnAIR platform, the program session times will adjust based on your browser settings. If you wish to see the program in OnAIR in a different time zone, this can be adjusted in your profile settings within the platform.

The presentations will be a mix of pre-recorded and live, interaction with the presenter will be available via the Q&A, with interaction between attendees available via the Discussion Forums.

All sessions will be recorded and made available via the OnAIR platform following the conference.

Live Support will be available via the OnAIR platform for the duration of the conference. When you type and submit your request, a member of the GEMS Event Management Australia team will respond. Outside of the conference hours, please contact registration@gemsevents.com.au.

All cancellations must be advised to GEMS Event Management Australia in writing by email to registration@gemsevents.com.au before the cancellation can be processed. Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from GEMS Event Management Australia. If you have not received acknowledgement within five (5) business days, please contact GEMS Event Management Australia on +61 2 9744 5252. If the cancellation is not received in writing, the registration fees will not be cancelled and full registration will still be payable.

Registration Cancellations received in writing by the Conference Organisers by Monday, 16th August 2021 will be accepted, and all fees refunded less an AUD$66 administration fee.

Cancellations received after this date cannot be accepted and will not be refunded, however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. The full name, address and contact details of the new delegate must be advised in writing to the Conference Organisers at least 5 days prior to the Conference.

Online registration received by GEMS Event Management Australia are considered to be confirmed by the delegate. No tentative bookings will be accepted.

Yes. Such changes must be advised to GEMS Event Management Australia in writing by email to registration@gemsevents.com.au by no later than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the Conference.

No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Conference and any unpaid registration fees will still be payable.

In the case of a medical emergency which has caused a registered delegate to not attend the Conference, the Conference Organiser must be provided with a medical certificate or appropriate documentation before any refund will be considered. Where the Conference Organisers are advised of the situation after the Conference, and a refund is deemed to be appropriate, the delegate must still pay the administration fee.
