In time for NAIDOC Week, ASLIA Qld is offering this interactive workshop, that considers important factors when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples including:

• Acknowledging traditional owners
• Hidden histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples
• Protocols and developing trust
• Generational trauma

Beth Tailby and Sue Frank discuss the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the interactions interpreters may encounter from a Queensland perspective.
