Interpreter Mentoring Program
Hosted by ASLIA WA and Access Interpreting
30/03/2019 to 30/03/2019 | Starts: 10:00 am | Ends: 5:00 pm | Venue: Lake Monger Recreation Centre, 144 Gregory Street, Wembley
Many interpreters work with a mentor who can support them in honing their Auslan and decision-making skills, preparing for professional level qualification or navigating the complexities of specialty areas like health care, mental health, government or performing arts.
The ASLIA Victoria mentoring program is one way we can offer such support to our industry. This program is open to ASLIA members all over Australia. Your engagement with a mentor, whether local or interstate, can be facilitated face to face or via online video technologies. Having the guidance and support of a trained mentor is highly recommended and viewed as valuable, regardless of years of Certification.
ASLIA WA and Access Interpreting encourage participation in this professional development to become a trained mentor and be listed to the profiles currently online at https://aslia.com.au/pd-andevents/mentoring/ (Note, you need to be logged in as an ASLIA member to access this page)
