Join Dennis Witcombe (Winston Churchill Fellow) and Carla Anderson (National Manager, Deafblind Services at Able Australia) for a unique training experience.
Social-Haptic Communication is an efficient and discrete way of giving social messages to a person who is visually impaired or deafblind. Using touch and symbols produced on the body, Social Haptics is an innovative way to assist deafblind people to experience and understand the world around them.
This training session will incorporate:
- Practical implementations
- Environmental mapping
- Benefits and results of Social-Haptic Communication
- Practical examples and opportunities to try it first-hand.
