ASLIA National Membership Discussion Paper E-mail

ASLIA National is seeking feedback on a Discussion Paper that was circulated late last year. The paper incorporates the feedback from consultation that was undertaken with our membership at the ASLIA National Conference in Sydney 2007. Feedback on the paper is encouraged, and we ask that all feedback be provided by the end of February.

Did you know that this year is the 2008 International Year of Languages? What a great opportunity for ASLIA to celebrate and promote Auslan as a wonderful language and the work that Auslan Interpreters do.

 "All Australians should celebrate the diversity of the more than 200 languages spoken in Australia as the world celebrates in 2008 the International Year of Languages, according to Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs and Settlement Services, Laurie Ferguson."
