ASLIA New South Wales is a not-for-profit professional body representing Australian Sign Language (Auslan) Interpreters and Deaf Interpreters throughout the state. We provide regular professional development workshops and events, social and networking opportunities, information and support to our members. We also advocate on issues that affect both interpreters and our deaf and hearing consumers.
ASLIA NSW has an existing website at www.asliansw.org.au which includes information and resources for members, consumers, student interpreters as well as the general public wanting to find out more about us. We are in the process of migrating the information and resources of our state branch website to this section of aslia.shocktest.com.au. If there is something about ASLIA NSW that you cannot find here, please have a look at our existing website or feel free to contact us for assistance.
Our calendar/planner outlines the professional development events and networking/social activities organised by ASLIA NSW. This can be viewed on our state branch website and only includes the events being held or planned in NSW. You can also see the events being held in other states as well as NSW on the aslia.shocktest.com.au events calendar. Some events planned by ASLIA NSW do not yet appear in this calendar as dates have not been set. Please keep an eye on the calendar and the planner for more information about upcoming events; members in NSW and the ACT will receive updates about upcoming events via the member update email distributed fortnightly.
