Strength In Diversity
Friday 18th September – Monday 21st September 2020
Newcastle is located on traditional Awabakal and Worimi lands. It is New South Wale’s second largest city, and also the second oldest city in Australia. It has a rich and diverse history. Following European settlement Newcastle became a penal station, then a coal town, and a steel city. Newcastle is surrounded by a harbour and some of the best beaches in Australia. It is also very close to the Hunter Valley which is one of Australia’s major wine regions. This history, and the current opportunities available to visitors is what makes Newcastle such an interesting city to host ANC2020.
