Membership Year – 1 July  to 30 June  Annually

Membership is valid for the financial year in which it is purchased. Fees are due on 30 June each year.

ASLITA understands that members sometimes purchase their membership for the next financial year earlier than 30 June. ASLITA allows a grace period of 1 month for this to occur, however, benefits will not be accessible until 1st July. In the event that you wish to purchase your membership early please send an email to our Treasurer to notify them of this purchase. Pro-rata rates (50% discount) apply from 1st January for new members only.  Please contact our Treasurer to access this discount.

Ordinary Individual Member

Must hold current and valid NAATI accreditation/certification as an Auslan<>English interpreter OR hold current and valid NAATI DI Recognition or completed approved training.  These members are able to:

• vote at the Annual General Meeting and receive minutes;
• be nominated and stand for election to the ASLITA Board as prescribed by the Constitution;
• receive ASLITA communications;
• participate in ASLITA events and receive member discounts on any associated registration fees;
• access to the ‘members only’ section of the website.

Associate Individual Member

Student or a person who supports and/or has an interest in Auslan/English interpreting. These members are:

• able to attend and observe Annual General Meeting and receive minutes,
• unable to vote or be nominated for election to the ASLITA Board;
• able to receive ASLITA communications;
• able to participate in ASLITA events and receive member discounts for any related registration fees; and
• able to have access to the ‘members only’ section of the website.
