ASLIA Victoria is pleased to have a Special Guest at this year’s AGM. Nigel Howard, from Canada will be presenting “Deaf and Hearing Interpreting teams…”
Nigel Howard is a Canadian Deaf Interpreter with 25 years of experience in a wide range of settings locally, nationally and internationally. He is a WFD and WASLI Accredited International Sign Interpreter and a part of the United Nations IS team. Additionally, Nigel provides a variety of workshops around the globe covering topics from Deafhood to professional interpreter development. Nigel works as an instructor in the Program of Sign Language Interpretation at Douglas College and in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Victoria, both in British Columbia.
