It has been two years since the publication of the recommendations that emerged from the Royal Commission into Domestic and Family Violence. Such recommendations acknowledged the significant role interpreters play in the process of assisting women victims of domestic and family violence from non-English speaking backgrounds. The various presentations and round-table at this symposium will address issues regarding gender-based violence, trauma, as well as the education, training and accreditation of interpreters.
