ASLITA National Conference 2026
The Australian Sign Language Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association Ltd. (ASLITA) would like to extend a warm invitation to attend the ASLITA National Conference 2026 which will be held from 9th to 11th October on the traditional lands of the Wadawarung people at Nyaal Banyul, Geelong Victoria.
Coast to Country: Creating Ripples, Making Waves
This year’s theme captures a defining moment for Auslan Interpreters and Translators in 2026. We are a profession more connected than ever before — linked across coastlines and communities, enriched by shared knowledge, and strengthened by research and practice from colleagues both across Australia and around the world.
ANC2026 brings ASLITA members and delegates together from cities, regional centres, and remote areas, gathering on Wadawarung land in Geelong. Here, we will learn from peers whose work creates quiet ripples and bold waves alike — shaping practice, challenging thinking, and advancing our profession.
Coast to Country also speaks to the movement, rhythm, and flow at the heart of Auslan and the relationships that sustain our professional community. ANC2026 invites all who are ready to immerse themselves — whether to take away a small insight or a transformative shift in perspective — and to be part of the energy driving our industry forward.
Our theme reflects our everyday work; by simply picking up our hands, we are creating ripples.
