New Year, New P-Platers! Look who’s back, back again, for another year of ethical dilemmas, interpreting challenges and social chats, and this year, there’s the fantastic Emily Christofferson and Pauline Hansen (nah not that one) joining the team. This year the focus will be on those crazy things that pop up as you grow into your new skills and the difficulties interpreters face… but learn more about that at the first session, on the 12th of February 2025, from 630pm –730pm Qld time!
P-Platers is a social group for early career interpreters and soon-to-be NAATI certified provisional interpreters. This is a group for ASLITA members (including associate members) from any ASLITA state Association who:
- have completed their Diploma of Interpreting but are not yet certified, or
- are Certified Provisional Interpreters – CPI and CPDI
P-Platers is about peer social support, shared learning and professional networking opportunities such as:
- Share tips and tricks
- Discuss ethical quandaries
- Learn and benefit from other people’s experiences
- Ask those questions in a safe space
- Meet new people and build your professional networks
- Practice your skills
- Earn NAATI points
Cost: FREE
Sessions will be held on Zoom 630pm – 730pm QLD time. Upcoming dates TBA but see you March 12th for the next one!
NAATI Points: 1.6 (10 points).
