Look who’s back, back again, for another year of ethical dilemmas, interpreting challenges and social chats, and this year, there’s the fantastic Emily, Pauline and Sab joining the team. This month the focus will be on those things that you need to keep in mind as you progress through your interpreting career – NAATI prep.
P-Platers is a social group for early career interpreters and soon-to-be NAATI certified provisional interpreters. This is a group for ASLITA members (including associate members) from any ASLITA state Association who:
- have completed their Diploma of Interpreting but are not yet certified, or
- are Certified Provisional Interpreters – CPI and CPDI
P-Platers is about peer social support, shared learning and professional networking opportunities such as:
- Share tips and tricks
- Discuss ethical quandaries
- Learn and benefit from other people’s experiences
- Ask those questions in a safe space
- Meet new people and build your professional networks
- Practice your skills
- Earn NAATI points
Cost: FREE
Sessions will be held on Zoom 630pm – 730pm QLD time. Upcoming dates 08/10/2025, 12/11/2025

ASLITAQ 2025 Deafblind Workshop with Paola Murray
$140.00 (member price: $70.00)Add to cartPaola Murray is a Deafblind lady who has life experience of working with interpreters and CommGuides. ASLITAQ is so delighted to have Paola present on Saturday 16th August for a face-to-face Deafblind workshop to explain Deafblindness and the different types, communication methods and sharing insights on interpreting with Deaf or Deafblind clients when they have a Commguide and O&M (Orientation and Mobility) instructor present.
This workshop is designed for Auslan Interpreters, Deaf Interpreters and Commguides/ Support Workers.
