Following last year’s success, the ASLITA Vic/Tas Committee has been beavering away planning a Summer Cooler social event – With the health decline and passing of our dear friend and colleague Marc, we have decided to pivot slightly.
We are still holding an event and will have one structured activity – a depicting sign storytelling circle – facilitated by Darlene Thornton.Food and drink provided, but more importantly we want to provide a place for interpreters and the Deaf community to be together.Fri 13th March

ASLITAQ is so delighted to have Paola present on Saturday 30th May for a face-to-face Deafblind workshop to explain Deafblindness and the different types, communication methods and sharing insights on interpreting with Deaf or Deafblind clients when they have a Commguide and O&M (Orientation and Mobility) instructor present.
This workshop is designed for Auslan Interpreters, Deaf Interpreters and Commguides/ Support Workers.
