  • ASLIAQ 2024 P-Platers August

    New Year, New P-Platers! They’re back, baby, for another year of ethical dilemmas, interpreting challenges and social chats, and this year, there’s the wonderful Madison Rossetto joining the team. This year the focus will be on self-care, working with over 65s, Deaf+, theatre/music interpreting, and the difficulties interpreters face.

     

    P-Platers is a social group for early career interpreters and soon-to-be NAATI certified provisional interpreters. This is a group for ASLIA members (including associate members) from any ASLIA state Association who:

    • have completed their Diploma of Interpreting but are not yet certified, or
    • are Certified Provisional Interpreters – CPI and CPDI

    P-Platers is about peer social support, shared learning and professional networking opportunities such as:

    • Share tips and tricks
    • Discuss ethical quandaries
    • Learn and benefit from other people’s experiences
    • Ask those questions in a safe space
    • Meet new people and build your professional networks
    • Practice your skills
    • Earn NAATI points

    Cost: FREE
