Interpreting in Queer Spaces – NSW
$60.00 (member price: $30.00)Celebrating Pride Month – Interpreting in Queer Spaces – NSWJoin us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Queer Pride and taking a sneak peek behind (usually) closed doors.Step outside of the typical 9-to-5 interpreting scenarios. This event dives into the real, raw, and sometimes risqué experiences of interpreting in queer spaces.Discover how boundaries are navigated and redefined – whether it’s at a fetish competition, on a throuple date, during hormone treatment, or in private play spaces. To kick off the night we will have a bold, diverse panel of Queer Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing people sharing vulnerable and intimate stories. Moderated by NAATI CPDI Alex Jones, and wrapped up by an adventurous Q&A.The remainder of the evening will be a relaxed social gathering.Hosted in the brand-new Pride Centre of Newtown, this is your invitation to a safe, affirming, and unapologetically queer space.
